Competent officials to repress the export of prohibited goods in Castile until the end of the Old Regime

During the medieval and modern centuries, Castile appeared fundamentally as a land exporting raw materials to other kingdoms and importing manufactured products, thereby causing an obvious economic imbalance that the subjects suffered spatially, especially because much of the exports focused on basic goods for sustenance. From the reign of Alfonso X appears in the texts of Spanish territorial law a neat relation of precepts dedicated to the regulation of this matter of general interest. Those compelling reasons, which justified the solicitors' requests and the positive purposes of the monarchs, would have been of little use if the legislation had not been accompanied by a complete organization chart of officers responsible for preserving its proper enforcement.
