Abstract

In this article we are going to examine the influence of Roman law in the American legal system. As its introduction produced in a particular way since Colonial period thanks to jurists and lawyers which begin to work with Roman sources in their legal decisions and later its extension takes place in social circles and groups in different states, which influences the scope of the different Universities and Courts, to the point that it influences all this in a codification´s process of the Law like the Restatements and in the jurisprudence of the U.S. Supreme Court from US.
