From where did the author of the Siete Partidas take the "auctoritates" or sentences he uses to expound and confirm his dogmatic or simply theological doctrines? The author sometimes alludes to his sources, citing very vaguely "the saints" or the "holy fathers", who can be either the sacred writers or the fathers of the Church or of the ancient councils.
